Unlike standard drop-ins, the Power model is heated and then molded to your feet using specialized memory pillows, creating a unique, 1:1 match of your arches in just 15 to 20 minutes.

How long does the installation take?

The Kneed and Bootdoc Comfort can be swapped into your boots on the spot while you check out, while the heat-molded Bootdoc Power requires about 15–20 minutes from start to finish.

How long do these footbeds typically last?

While it depends on how many days you ski, a high-quality footbed like the Bootdoc Power or Comfort is built to last several seasons—often outliving the boots themselves.

Do I need to bring my actual boots with me?

Yes, please! (Unless you plan on purchasing a new boot to get a custom insole for) While we can match an insole to your foot, we need your boots to ensure the footbeds are trimmed to the exact internal shape of your liner for a seamless, wrinkle-free fit.

Why should I replace the stock insoles that came with my boots?

Most stock insoles are thin, flat foam “placeholders” designed to fit everyone, which means they support no one; upgrading to a structured footbed aligns your foot, improves blood flow (warmer feet!), and prevents the foot from elongating, which stops your toes from hitting the front of the boot.

Can I move my custom footbeds between different pairs of boots?

Generally, yes! As long as the boots are a similar size and shape (e.g., moving them from an old pair of ski boots to a new pair), you can swap them out. However, because they are trimmed to fit a specific liner, they may not always transfer perfectly between vastly different types of footwear.
